Hey everyone,
I have about a 1 yr old American Bulldog female.

We have had her for about 4-5 mos. She has been a great dog, trained very well, gets along well with our other dog a Boxer female who is 3 yrs old. She is great with kids.

One day this week she caught a large Crow in our backyard, its very rare that I have seen one land in my yard with two large dogs, let alone one of the dogs even catch one. Our bulldog was covered in blood from the crow and she was happy as can be. We bathed her and cleaned up the bird. Day 2 she caught a sparrow and was out throwing it around the yard happily.

So here we are day 3. We have squirrels around here, we are in a neighborhood with a large fenced in yard and the squirrels run around the walls and have done this for years and tease by chirping and the dogs run at the wall and bark. Well as of today she caught one and we found her in the yard laying on top of it and nudging it, it was already dead. We have retrieved all the kills.

Its just been this sudden thing with her, she has caught an animal 3 days in a row. Is this something to be concerned about? Do we praise her for it, or is that dangerous?

Is this normal for American Bulldogs?

Any feedback is appreciated!
